Objectives:Provide the knowledge necessary to hold the position of fire prevention and firefighting officer in accordance with Ministerial Decree 2/09/21 for organisations falling under level 2 (ex-medium risk).
Provide theoretical and practical knowledge to identify fire hazards present in the workplace.
  • Develop the ability to prevent the ignition and spread of fires.
  • Instruct on the correct use of extinguishing devices (extinguisher, fire hydrant, etc.).
  • Prepare staff to deal with emergencies and manage evacuations safely.
  • Ensure knowledge of the operational procedures required by the business emergency plan.
Expected results:
  • The employee is able to recognize situations of fire risk and take appropriate preventive measures.
  • The person in charge knows and knows how to apply the evacuation and emergency management procedures.
  • The operator knows how to use portable fire extinguishers and other fire-fighting devices safely.
  • The employee actively participates in the management of emergencies according to the roles provided for in the business plan.
  • Passing the theoretical-practical test at the end of the course.

Educational Units:UD/UFC: FIRE AND FIRE PREVENTION (duration 2 hours, frontal classroom training)
UD/UFC: FIRE PROTECTION STRATEGY (duration 3 hours, face-to-face classroom training)
UD/UFC: PRACTICAL EXERCISE (duration 3 hours, practical tests c/o test field)
Methodology:The teaching activity is structured to investigate the main issues related to fire prevention and management, analysing the most appropriate behaviour to be adopted in the event of an emergency. In addition, the training course includes a practical shut-off test, This is essential to familiarise yourself with the use of fire-fighting devices. The course makes use of Specially designed audiovisual aids to facilitate learning and make content clearer and more effective for all participants. In the module dedicated to Level firefighters 2 (formerly known as the Medium Risk Course), participants will have the opportunity to perform practical extinguishing tests with fire extinguishers on a special hearth set up within our Test field, This ensures a practical and practical training experience. Please note that all courses are held in Italian language and one is required Good comprehension, both written and oral, to be able to follow the lessons correctly and actively participate in the exercises.

Programme:UD/UFC: FIRE AND FIRE PREVENTION (duration 2 hours, frontal classroom training)
  • Principles on combustion and fire: Extinguishing substances; the combustion triangle; the main causes of a fire; risks to persons in the event of fire; the main precautions and measures to prevent fires.
UD/UFC: FIRE PROTECTION STRATEGY (duration 3 hours, face-to-face classroom training)
  • Reaction to fire; fire resistance; compartmentalisation; exodus; fire control; detection and alarm;  control of fumes and heat; fire-fighting operations; security of technological and service facilities. Fire safety management in operation and in emergency, with insights on controls and maintenance and emergency planning.
UD/UFC: PRACTICAL EXERCISE (duration 3 hours, practical tests c/o test field)
  • Having read and clarified the most common control and extinguishing equipment and systems; acknowledgment and clarification of personal protective equipment and equipment; exercises on the use of portable fire extinguishers and how to use nosepieces and hydrants; having read the fire register, clarifications and exercises concerning the surveillance activity.

Our fire-fighting training courses comply with the provisions of Annex III to the Ministerial Decree of 2 September 2021, ensuring compliance with the training content provided. In addition, they scrupulously follow the guidelines set out in the document ‘Criteria for the management of workplaces in operation and in emergency and characteristics of the specific fire prevention and protection service’, issued in July 2022 by the Department of Fire Brigades, Public Rescue and Civil Defence.
